Here is your AD-1 Pro Audio Analyzer (TDM) 2.2 update. The following features have been added and changes made: Version 2.2 ¥ Switched to using System 8 compatible copy protection. You can now authorize /de-authorize under System 8.x. ¥ Added a corrected pink noise curve for average response. The previous curve was optimized only for peak response. ¥ Fixed graphic problem with meters under Pro Tools 4.x software. ¥ Implemented a work around with a problem in Pro Tools 4.x which caused a TDM error -4 when instantiating. This would only occur on come NuBus based machines. Version 2.1 ¥ PAA is now Pro Tools 4.0 compatible. ¥ PAA no longer switches the screen depth nor loads a color table during open. Version 2.0 ¥ Phase Display: 1¥ You may now select one of three trail lengths. 2¥ You may now have an optional grid over the phase display. This may slightly effect phase display performance on some systems. 3¥ The phase analysis is now optimized to provide the best update rates possible, and the smoothest and fastest possible phase response when in the phase only view (see Views below). Use this view when you want the maximum phase display performance. ¥ Spectrum Display: 1¥ The spectrum analysis code has been changed so that all frequency values are peak held instead of sampled. This means that the spectrum display is now much more accurate and will be more reproducible when re-analyzing the same section of audio. 2¥ You may now choose between peak and average response for the spectrum display. Please note that when using averaging response set to infinite hold, the levels will still ÒdecayÓ when the audio is silent. This is a perfectly natural result of silence averaging into the frequency spectrum. ¥ Views: ¥ You may now select one additional view. These views may be selected by holding down the shift and option keys while clicking on the PAA panel. The views are: 1¥ All modules (Meters, Phase, Spectrum, Wave form). 2¥ Meters & Phase only. 3¥ Meters & Spectrum only. 4¥ Meters only. 5¥ Phase only. 6¥ Spectrum only. 7¥ Waveform only. This is the new view, and is quite useful for running a clip history (clips are shown as colored vertical bars). The return key toggles the clip indication feature. ¥ New Features: ¥ AD-1 (TDM) 2.0 now supports PCI based Pro Tools systems. ¥ AD-1 (TDM) 2.0 now supports the ProTools bypass button. When this button is pressed the audio is passed through unaltered regardless of the AD-1 monitoring mode. ¥ AD-1 (TDM) 2.0 now supports mute control for DAE applications which support this function. ¥ The key configuration dialog now has the following additional features: ¥ A reset button resets all custom key assignments to the factory default, (with the exception of spectrum peak hold keys, which are left blank). ¥ The user can now specify that the option key must be held down when recalling or storing presets (0-9) to avoid conflict with Pro Tools. ¥ Bug Fixes: ¥ A bug which caused crashes when a new project is opened on some systems has been fixed. ¥ The lower case character-key configuration dialog bug has been fixed. ¥ 2.0 is now more stable and will behave better in low memory situations. ¥ A bug that caused failure saving presets using keypad shift-numbers has been fixed. 6/26/96 PAA.
